Territory Manager

The territory manager will be expected to drive product sales through personal sales efforts in the AV/IP marketplace in their respective regions. They are also responsible for educating our customers on our latest RF and IP Video platforms. A strong background in consultative sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge of the Z-Band RF & IP Video products and associated competitive product lines.

  • Meets company minimum sales objectives and metrics.

  • Develop an annual Business Development Plan with the President and the VP of Marketing and Sales. The plan details activities to follow during the fiscal year and will focus the Field Consultant on meeting or exceeding sales/training objectives.

  • Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.

  • Creates and conducts effective technical proposal presentations.

  • Demonstrates the ability to converse professionally with industry owners and decision-makers.

  • Uses consultative selling techniques to make recommendations to prospects and clients regarding the various solutions Z-Band offers for their business issues.

  • Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face-to-face cold calling on business owners, tradeshows, email, and networking.

  • Responsible for developing client relationships and referrals. These include, but are not limited to, major Consultant/Design Houses, Systems Integrators, Installers and End Users.

  • Assists in the implementation of Company Strategic Plans as needed.

  • Demonstrates the ability to gather and submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.

  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including using ZOHO CRM to maintain accurate records and maximize territory potential.

  • Participates in and contributes to developing educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and other company employees.

  • Adheres to all Company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Job Specifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of consultative sales experience. 

  • Excellent technical sales presentation ability and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of network management, data centers, network storage solutions, LAN/WAN/VLAN, structured cabling, enterprise data networking, security, VOIP, Fiber Optics, Cat 5e, Cat 6, 10G, xDSL, multicast/unicast, server O/S preferred.

  • Strong understanding of the customer and market dynamics and requirements.

  • Able to prioritize, plan work activities, and consistently meet commitments and deadlines.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management software.

  • Travel Required - 25%-35%

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License
