Sales Development Representative (SDR)

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) generates highly relevant sales opportunities for our direct sales staff and strategic channel partners using exciting new sales prospecting techniques. The SDR will conduct high-level conversations with account executives about their business and operations. The successful candidate will be a strongly self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, organized, tenacious, and can effectively interact with a team. This person will handle critical administrative tasks, such as research and communications with potential clients, and act as an extension of the sales team when representatives are away from the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge of the Z-Band product and associated competitive product lines.

  • Conducts market research and analysis.

  • Develop a plan for finding target customers using email marketing, social media, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Creates and manages email marketing campaigns.

  • Maps prospective accounts around organizational structure, people, and existing technology.

  • Uses a consultive sales approach and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions Z-Band offers to their business issues.

  • Manages a database (CRM) of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, tradeshows, email, and networking based on proven SDR processes

  • Assists in supporting various outside Sales Representatives and Value-Added Resellers as defined by Z-Band to maximize sales opportunities in an assigned Geographic Market.

  • Assists in the implementation of Company Strategic Plans as needed.

  • Participates in and contributes to developing educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and other company employees.

  • Adheres to all Company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing & Sales

Job Specifications:

  • 1+ years of sales or related market/business experience.

  • Candidates should have software/SaaS experience, sales experience, or other related business experience.

  • Excellent technical sales presentation ability and communication skills.

  • Experience in business-to-business or business-to-consumer sales, specifically with technology products or products sold as a “premium” product.

  • Able to prioritize, plan work activities, and consistently meet commitments and deadlines.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management software.  ZOHO experience preferred.

  • Demonstrates solid interpersonal skills in person, over the phone, and through electronic communications.

  • Knowledge of at least one of the following industry sectors preferred: multi-channel marketing, content marketing, e-commerce, digital and mobile marketing, retail, and brands selling directly to consumers. 

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License.

  • Carlisle, PA 17013: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
